We'd love for you to join us for an informal post-wedding celebration on Sunday, May 10th, at The Taybank in Dunkeld.
The party will be held in the lovely, rainproof stretch tent in the gardens, with guests welcome to start arriving from 1:00 PM.
Travel by Car
Driving is the most flexible way to visit, especially if you plan to explore the surrounding Perthshire countryside.
The Route: Dunkeld is located just off the A9, the main road connecting the Lowlands to the Highlands. It is approximately a 1-hour drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow and about 25 minutes north of Perth.
From the wedding venue, head west on the A90 toward Perth. As you approach the city, follow signs for the A9 (North) toward Inverness.
Parking: The Taybank has a small on-site car park for overnight residents (including electric car charging). For day visitors, there is a large public car park at the North End (just a 2-minute walk away) and additional parking along Tay Terrace.
Travel by Train
The Station: Your destination is Dunkeld & Birnam station, located on the Highland Main Line.
The Walk: The Taybank is about a 15 to 20-minute walk (roughly 0.8 miles) from the station. You’ll cross the historic Dunkeld Bridge with stunning views of the cathedral and the river along the way.
Frequency: Direct trains run from Edinburgh Waverley (approx. 1h 35m) and Glasgow Queen Street (approx. 1h 20m). Note that some services may require a quick change at Perth.
Travel by Bus
Coach Services: Scottish Citylink and Ember (electric bus) operate regular services that stop at Birnam or Dunkeld (often the "Rose Cottage" or "Royal Dunkeld Hotel" stops).
Local Routes: Stagecoach services 23 and 27 connect Dunkeld to Perth and Aberfeldy, with stops only about 100 meters from The Taybank’s front door.
